CALL FOR HELP! PLEASE WRITE TO MPs! Release the Flotilla Hostages

 What can you do?

The most direct action we can currently take is requesting our governments intervene to release The Flotilla Hostages.

Write to your local MP asking for their involvement particularly for hostages who are citizens in your own country. 

The flotilla website has this all set up and all you need to do is write your letter.

I’ve included mine below which, if it helps, can be adapted for your personal letters.

  Dear [MP]

I implore you to use legal powers available to you and the UK government in rescuing the humanitarians who have been illegally abducted by the IOF as they lawfully sailed towards Gaza with food, baby formula and medical supplies. No laws were broken. Israel occupy and lay claim over Palestine and their seas but this is unlawful. They are in breach of international law. 

Children have the right to access food, water, healthcare, education and should not be living in a concentration camp with every element of their life ruled by fear and loss.

All humanity should have access to medical aid, healthcare, food, water, the right to life in a democracy and in freedom not in a concentration camp where life is controlled and apartheid reigns.

Israel occupy this land illegally and they’ve broken international law so many times. This is a dark period in our history. This century is forever scarred by the occupation of Gaza and the wholehearted complicity of the UK government, of which I’m mortified and heartbroken; we are all forever changed.

The UK government has a duty of care to return those people abducted illegally back to their homes and to continue their lawful humanitarian work.

I beg you to do the right thing and hold space and time for those who desperately need our support.
